Kusnyár Gábor

Gábor started his career in the company group in the Velvet restaurant. In 2000 he was transferred to the Academy Club in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, which he has been managing since 2005. Meanwhile he also had led the Parliament unit for two years, and in 2010 he and his team launched external catering services. Starting in 2015, he has also managed one of our new facility, the Symbol. He is an Eventrend Holding co-owner partner in Academy Club and in Symbol.

Career

I have graduated from the Károly Róbert College, majoring in Tourism and Hospitality.

I started my Eventrend Group career as a restaurant waiter in the Velvet restaurant in 1998-199, which I took over in 1999-2000. The company group took over the operation of the Academy Club Restaurant in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. We are running a buffet, a private restaurant, a club and manage several events in the building of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In 2010 we launched an external catering project as well. I have contributed to its set-up at first as an operator, later, between 2003-2005 as a Deputy Director, and since 2005 to present as Managing Director.

Between 2005 and 2007 I also directed and managed the Parliament Protocol project, managing the entire catering operation (protocol events, restaurant, buffet, café). Taking on a new challenge in August 2015, I am also the Managing Director of Symbol (club, event center, restaurant). In 2010, the Eventrend Partner Program gave me an opportunity to be a co-owner of the Academy Club Restaurant and since its opening in 2005, of Symbol as well.

In my opinion, I can only be truly successful in something I love. I have always known what I wanted, I never had a plan B. I have believed in myself and my love for my profession, hard work, dedication, passion, perseverance, learning and humbleness helped me to get to where I am today. What I’m Proud of

I am proud of my professional achievements, that I continuously train myself, and that I have gotten to where I am today with my own efforts, with hard work. In addition to the professional commitment, I have a loving family, my wife Krisztina and our beautiful, smart daughter, Panka Fruzsina. I believe that you can only be successful if you are supported by a loving family. I have arrived now, I am in good hands.
