Gundel’s cuisine is rooted in the traditions of Hungarian gastronomy, yet every dish reflects the careful selection of ingredients and the chefs’ precise craftsmanship. We offer classic flavors that have been the cornerstones of Hungarian cuisine for generations, yet they are presented on the plate in a fresh and memorable way. According to our guests, dining with us is like tasting a story: the flavors of the past meet modern culinary techniques and Gundel’s hospitality. We take particular pride in the “Nemzeti 11” series, which showcases the very best of Hungarian cuisine through 11 iconic dishes selected from Gundel’s historic collection of nearly 140 recipes. As the head of the holding company, my role is to see both the uniqueness of each unit and the common direction of the entire portfolio. I believe that places with different characters are not competitors, but rather different manifestations of a shared set of values. My role is to provide a clear vision, support operations with well-founded decisions, and create a framework in which each unit can grow by building on its own strengths. For me, leadership does not mean centralization, but rather coordination: creating a professional and human environment where local leaders and teams can operate with preparedness, autonomy, and accountability. This approach is particularly evident at the Bagolyvár event venue. Here, the key to success lies in coordinated teamwork, precise organization, and the flexibility to tailor every event to its unique needs. Our mission is to provide the professional support and operational framework that enable the team to work with confidence, independence, and a sense of responsibility, while ensuring that every event runs smoothly and meets the highest standards.
